Bruce Mills is well known in the Queensland IT industry and is currently Joint CEO and Director of 3W IT Consulting and Contracting.

Bruce is also active on a number of industry and charity boards including as the president of Regional Community Association,  a committee member of Queensland .NET, board member - director of Moreton Bay General Practice Network, president of Rotary Club of Redcliffe City. past board member of Software Queensland, and past industry representative on Queensland ICT Workgroup,

In February 2007 Bruce, in partnership with joint CEO Andrew McCarroll launched 3W to fill the gap he saw for a company that could provide not only local resources but also had International resourcing offices to provide clients a simple solution for hard to get skills in the ICT industry.

From 2005 to early 2007 Bruce was Director of Contracting, then State Director of Acumen Alliance Queensland where he specifically concentrated on lifting the profile of Acumen in the market place as well as moving Acumen into the area of IT Contracting.

Bruce is well known for his role as Queensland and New South Wales Branch Manager of iGate (formerly Mastech Asia Pacific) for seven years, from 1997 until 2004. He was responsible for taking the organisation from a small permanent placement company to one of Queensland’s leading and best-known brands in IT contracting.

When Bruce joined the business in 1997, it was a privately owned family company known as Asia Pacific Computer Consultants, with offices in New South Wales and Queensland. In October 1997, the company was purchased by Mastech Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed company. In his last year with the company, Bruce managed both the Queensland and New South Wales offices of Mastech.

Bruce started his IT career in 1987 as an ICL COBOL programmer. His love for technology, combined with his ability to relate complex IT concepts to audiences with a wide range of technical ability, meant that he quickly moved into the area of client support and training. In 1995 he entered the IT recruitment market, joining Computer People in Brisbane as an account manager.
